Postdoctoral Position in Development of Fast Algorithms for Plasmonic Structures, Bahcesehir University, Istanbul [Turkey]

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Dr. Ergun Simsek, in the Faculty of Engineering at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, TURKEY. The aim of the project is development of fast algorithms for plasmonic structures.

A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, or a related field is required. The successful candidate should bring experience, enthusiasm and dedication to the group. A strong drive to succeed in computational photonics research is essential. Relevant areas of expertise includes optoelectronic materials and nanophotonics.

Applications should contain: a curriculum vitae (CV), full list of publications, copies of relevant publications, a letter (one-page maximum) describing their strengths for the research project, and names and contact details for three people who may be asked for references. The positions are initially for one year, with the likely extension for several years by mutual agreement. Review of applications will begin immediately. The positions are available on October 1st, 2009.
