Fellows are selected on the basis of a record of distinction and an application to carry out a project of advanced research in Renaissance art history, literature, history, or musicology. Application for the 2010 cycle of the UNESCO-L’ORÉAL For Women in Science International Fellowships is now open. The Fellowships are jointly offered by UNESCO and L’ORÉAL, as part of the For Women In Science Programme, to support and promote women in scientific research all over the world. The international Fellowships are awarded to promising young women scientists, at the doctoral or postdoctoral level, to undertake a research project in the life sciences which has been accepted by a reputable institution outside their home country. 15 international Fellowships are awarded each year. Each Fellowship is worth a maximum of US$40,000 to cover a research period of up to 24 months. Scholarship for Women- Executive MBA Programme

The Executive MBA programme office is delighted to offer scholarship support for the September 2009 (SEMBA2011) for the female participant who has best demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to support the ongoing success of the Executive MBA programme. This substantial scholarship of up to £23,850 (the final award to be determined at the review stage) will be deducted from the balance of the first year tuition fees for the programme. Who is eligible? Women who have been accepted for SEMBA 2011 and who are fully self-funding. International Women’s Media Foundation Fellowships 2009-2010

The International Women’s Media Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2009-10 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship, named for the 1998 IWMF Courage in Journalism Award winner and Boston Globe correspondent who was killed in Iraq in May 2003. This program, created with Neuffer’s family and friends, aims to perpetuate her memory and advance her life mission of promoting international understanding of human rights and social justice while creating an opportunity for women journalists to build their skills. One woman journalist will be selected to spend an academic year in a tailored program with access to Boston-area universities as well as the Boston Globe and New York Times. The flexible structure of the program will provide the fellow with opportunities to pursue academic research and hone her reporting skills covering topics related to human rights.
