Two positions are available for highly motivated, qualified candidates with demonstrated interest in reproductive biology and biotechnology for pursuing doctoral research (PhD) at the Laboratory of Reproductive Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Konkuk University, South Korea. The key areas of research include nuclear transfer, transgenesis and embryonic stem cell studies in porcine, bovine and mice with the central goal of tranasgenically modified cloned animal production and analysis for xenotransplantation and cell based therapy. One position is also available for PhD in avian transgenesis. Person applying for the later position would be provided training in our recent novel retroviral vector system but should have prior experience with basic molecular biology tools and should be willing to work with chicken flock. AAOS International Surgical Skills Scholarship Program [USA]

The AAOS International Surgical Skills Scholarship Program is intended to provide US surgical skills access to deserving orthopaedic surgeons from diverse regions of the world. Four to six scholarships are awarded each year to eligible orthopaedists with the intended purpose to travel to the United States to attend an AAOS Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC) hands-on surgical skills course. Each recipient selects a 2- to 2.5-day course offered by AAOS. As part of the scholarship program experience, scholars are offered one- or two-day hospital and private practice visits designed to further enhance their overall scholarship program experiences in the United States. Future Engineers Scholarship Program - Kelly Engineering Resources [USA]

Future Engineers Scholarship Program Award: One winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board during the 2010 calendar year.
