The Department of Economics of Maastricht University is looking for a PhD candidate in Economics. The position is part of the Dutch Science Foundation funded research project “How to Design Allocation and Matching Mechanisms?” (see http://www.personeel.unimaas.nl/b.klaus/VIDI.htm).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will carry out a research project within or closely related to the research project “How to Design Allocation and Matching Mechanisms?” The candidate will spend at most 20% of his\her time on teaching duties. The PhD position guarantees an employment contract with Maastricht University of 4 years (based on adequate performance). Some additional coursework might be desirable or required (depending on the candidate’s background).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to qualify for a PhD position the candidate must have successfully completed a Master degree in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related area and a good “competence” in written and spoken English.
