A fully funded three-year PhD studentship is available in the Operations Management Division at Nottingham University Business School within a successful research programme supported by the Ford Motor Company and Nottingham’s Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre. The research is examining the design and performance of order fulfilment systems and offers opportunities to investigate new approaches in the areas of production planning, revenue management and stakeholder modelling. The research requires skills in data analysis, simulation and modelling. Support will be given to extend research skills and in the use of analytical tools.
Students should have an appreciation of the discipline of operations management and a foundation in quantitative data analysis and modelling techniques. A background in operations research may be valuable. A good undergraduate degree is required and a relevant Masters degree is desirable. This studentship offers the opportunity to join a leading Business School and work with a high profile industrial partner.
This studentship covers full tuition fees and tax free living expenses of £12,608 per year for a three year period.
