Australia: International Fee Scholarships, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, The University of Queensland
The scholarships are awarded to assist outstanding students studying programs in the Social and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland. Priority will be given to postgraduate research or coursework students, however undergraduate students with high academic achievement are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for a fee scholarship, you must be an international student and eligible for an Australian government student visa.
Admission to Program
Applicants should submit:
* a completed international application form to the International Admissions Office;
Fee Scholarship Application
Applicants should submit:
* a one page expression of interest stating why they are applying for a scholarship and how this scholarship will benefit them in the future with respect to their career goals;
* a curriculum vitae (CV);
* recent academic transcripts; and
* evidence of a UQ offer or evidence of contact with UQ about enrolment.
Completed fee scholarship applications should be submitted to the International Development Manager, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Building #24, St Lucia, 4072 Australia by 2 November 2007.
Students will be selected on academic merit in conjunction with consideration of the relevance of the country of origin to the Faculty/University strategic directions.
Coursework students will be funded for the entire duration of their program and subject to satisfactory academic performance. PhD students may only be funded for a period of 12 months, and are encouraged to seek alternative funding sources. A student failing to maintain satisfactory academic performance during the duration of the scholarship may be required to show cause why the scholarship should not be cancelled.
The scholarship cannot be held concurrently with any other similar scholarship or bursary for tuition fees.
