Canada: Postdoctoral Associate - Organizational Management / Industrial Relations, Queen's University Industrial Relations Centre
The Industrial Relations Centre (IRC) at Queen's University invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate must hold a completed Ph.D. and is expected to show evidence (or promise) of research excellence in one or more of the following fields: Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organization Design and Effectiveness, or Team Effectiveness and Dynamics.
Under the broad direction of the Centres Director, the successful candidate will undertake research and related activities in the area of industrial relations/human resources.Academic oversight will be provided by the Director of the School of Policy Studies.
The Research Associates primary focus will be on leading a major IRC research initiative relating to labour management relations in Ontario's school board system. The candidate will also have research and administrative responsibilities associated with the broader mission of the Industrial Relations Centre. Such duties could include assistance with conference organization, preparation of grant proposals, supervision of student research assistants, and creation of research reports and articles for publication on the Centre's web site.
In addition to a completed Ph.D., the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and in possession of a strong set of computer skills.
This position is tenable for up two years with the possibility for renewal at the end of the second year.
