The research will focus on dispersion of gases in porous media and the relationship between the gas dispersion coefficient and media physical properties. The work will involve participation in the development and testing of new equipment for measuring gas dispersion under both steady and transient transport conditions as well as measurement of gas dispersion coefficients in various porous media including soil and rock using this equipment. The candidate will work as an integrated member of the environmental soil science group which currently consists of four academic staff and three Ph.D students.
Requirements:
Applicants should preferably have a background in soil physics with knowledge of gas transport processes in soil and other porous media. Experience with measurement of transport parameters (diffusion and/or dispersion) in soil is a plus. The candidate should be fluent in either English or Danish and should preferably have earned the Ph.D. degree later than August 2004, however candidates with earlier degrees will also be considered.
The Ministerial Circular on Job Structure valid for academic staff working with research and teaching at universities under the Danish Ministry of Research can be seen on: http://www.auc.dk/fak-tekn/personplan/job_eng.htm.
Terms of appointment and payment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of professional Associations (AC) on Academics in public service. Application
The application must include:
- CV with personal data, education and previous employment.
- Documentation for education (diplomas).
- Publication list with indication of works considered particularly relevant.
