PhD Studentship, Laboratoirede Mathématiques Appliquées, Pau, France
The aim of this phd is to develop a new approach for the discretization of realistic models for polymer flows. The theoretical part of the thesis will be accompanied by the development of a computational code for the numerical simulation of nonisothermal non-newtonian flows with nonlinear differential laws.
This software will be based on the incompressible flow solvers and related tools developed at LMA. This thesis is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration. For more information see http://web.univ-pau.fr/~becker.
Start date: autumn 2007.
To apply, send an e-mail to roland.becker@univ-pau.fr or didier.graebling@univ-pau.fr
