The Scientific and Educational Foundation of the Republic of Slovenia, Public Fund, offers grants for tuition and accomodation costs of foreign citizens for their doctorate studies at Slovene higher education institutions.
Priority is given to applicants pursuing doctoral studies in natural sciences and technology.
The Ad Futura foundation’s mission is to participate in the creation of a knowledge-based society, thus contributing to the technological, scientific, and economic reform of society.
The scholarships provide:
* tuition (the highest granted amount of annual scholarship for tuition for a specific year of study equals according to this call for applications 100% of tuition but not more than €2,500 for doctoral studies, for which the tuition is paid for individual year, or 100% of tuition cost for two-year research doctoral studies after completion of masters degree programme, which is paid after concluded phases of the doctoral studies) and
* living expenses, in the amount of €625 monthly for living and study costs for the period of 12 months (together annually €7,500).
Applicants must fulfil the following conditions:
* They are not citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.
* They have not completed their graduate studies in the Republic of Slovenia.
* They have been accepted or have enrolled for regular, publicly valid (accredited) doctoral studies in the upcoming academic year at a publicly valid (accredited) Slovene educational institution.
* They will be awarded a publicly valid certificate upon completion of their studies.
* They will spend the entire duration of their studies in Slovenia.
* They will not have the status of young researcher or hold employment in the Republic of Slovenia during the duration of their studies.
