Postdoctoral Fellowship - The Life-Cycle of the Human Papillomavirus, National Institute For Medical Research (NIMR), UK
Situated in Mill Hill, North West London, NIMR is the largest MRC institute, supporting some 70 research groups and 500 bench scientists. The Institute provides excellent training for researchers in a multi-disciplinary environment and is equipped with state of the art facilities including imaging, sequencing, crystallography, NMR, electron microscopy, mass spectroscopy and transgenics.

We are offering a 3 year Career Development Fellowship to carry out research into the life-cycle of the human papillomavirus particualrly on the replication of the viral genome at early times after viral entry and during maintenance of the viral genome in proliferating cells. This work also includes the study of HPV infection of stem cells and transient-amplifying cells of the epithelium and the outcome of such infections.
Applicant should be highly motivated, have a PhD and considerable experience in virological and tissue culture technique. Experience in HPV production, epidermal stem cells culture and organotypic culture would be an advantage.
