POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available in the CIHR Group of Skeletal Development and Remodeling at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the progression of normal wound repair to pathological fibrotic disease such as scleroderma. This project also has a strong translational component to develop and implement novel therapies in human clinical trials for fibrosis (See: Mol Biol Cell. (2007)18:2169-78; Mol Cell Biol. (2006) 26:5518-27; Arthritis Rheum. (2006) 54:1309-16. Mol Biol Cell. (2004) 15:5635-46.; FASEB J. (2002):1949-51.). A strong background in animal models, cell biology, and signal transduction is essential. The ability to work in a team is expected. Excellent communication skills required.
Our Group is located within the School of Dentistry and offers state-of-the-art facilities in an exciting environment for postdoctoral research. Interested candidates should have a Ph.D and/or an M.D and have under five years of postdoctoral experience. Salary is dependent on education and research experience, with a range of $36,000 to $45,000.
