Research Position - Telecommunication Economics / Operations Research, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
A temporary research position for the duration of up to 10 months is available at the Institute of Industrial Economics and Technology Management of Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
The position is financed by EU project SPICE which objective is to design a platform for provision of advanced mobile data services of new generation.
The purpose of this position is to work within this project and contribute for the project deliverable on the subject of quantitative analysis of novel and traditional business models for provision of such services. A successful applicant will have an opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent which European telecommunication industrial and academic environment has to offer.
The following qualifications would be a plus for a successful work on this project:
* Good understanding of modern quantitative financial and investment methodology
* Understanding of economic issues involved in the network economics.
* Familiarity with modern quantitative decision support methodology, e.g. operations research and simulation.
* Reasonable programming skills which would permit programming or quick mastering of Matlab and Visual Basic
* Fluent written and spoken English which would permit preparation of high quality professional texts on the subject of research
