Applications are invited from an outstanding scholar, or a practising artist, of international repute for the position of Slade Visiting Professor in Fine Art for the academic year 2009-2010. The Professorship provides an opportunity to give a series of public lectures and to connect those lectures, by means of accompanying seminars, with graduate courses in History of Art and Visual Culture. An ability to lecture engagingly to undergraduate and graduate students, academic staff and members of the public is essential.
The stipend will be GBP 8,000 (including VAT) for eight lectures and four seminars given January-March 2010; up to GBP 1,000 expenses also provided.
