PhD Research Fellowship in Forest Economics, Management, and Policy at Mississippi State University, USA
A Ph.D. research fellowship at Mississippi State University (Starkville, Mississippi, USA) is available in Forest Economics, Management, and Policy. The successful applicant will investigate changes in timberland ownership and associated impacts on the forest products industry and nonindustrial private forest landowners. The proposed research will provide critical information for forest-based economic development in the changing ownership environment with implications for forest policy and management as well as inventory availability.
Qualifications
A strong foundation in economics at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. A 3.50 GPA and/or proven research productivity at the graduate level. At least one degree in forestry is preferred but not required.
Salary and Benefits:
The Ph.D. Research Fellowship includes an annual stipend of $20,000, full tuition waiver, and health insurance coverage.
