One or more openings are expected for PhD students/postdoctoral fellows in computational fluid dynamics/computational engineering at City College of the City University of New York (CUNY). The successful candidate will develop new and enhance existing numerical models of flows and related problems.
The candidate must be highly motivated, goal oriented and have:
* Masters degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, oceanography, applied math, or other related discipline
* Solid background in mathematics as well as engineering
* Good knowledge of Fortran, MPI, and C/C++
Preference will be given to those who have previous experience in numerical programming and flow modeling algorithm development.
