As part of a major expansion in research activity the University of Huddersfield has announced the immediate availability of 125 fee-waiver scholarships for uptake in 2007-2008, with a further 125 to be made available in each of the following two years. In each year, 75 of the scholarships will waive 100% of tuition fees and 50 scholarships will waive 50% of tuition fees.
Many of these scholarships are available in the School of Computing and Engineering. A list of research projects leading to PhD or MPhil in `Electronic Engineering’, `Mechanical and Automotive Engineering’, `Music Technology’, `Computing’, `Digital Media’ and `Information Systems’ can be found at http://compeng.hud.ac.uk/external/research/opportunities.php however alternative projects will also be considered. The scholarships are open to technically excellent UK or EU or international full-time students who do not already have funding. Applicants must be able to fund their living costs.
